Ardra Nakshatra

The deity is Rudra — the howling storm, the god of tears, Shiva before he becomes Shiva. The symbol is the teardrop; the yoni is the dog, the creature that smells the storm before it breaks. Rahu rules this nakshatra. She is the one who survives the thing the rest of the cast didn't.

She is the woman with the past nobody quite knows the full version of. The friend who cried for three years and walked out of the dark looking sharper than before. Rahu magnifies — and what Rahu touched in her early life was a storm. But the storm also clarified: Ardra survivors see the rot in things long before everyone else, and they cannot un-see it.

The motif that keeps appearing in her life: she gets cast as the survivor. The friend who lived through the breakdown. The colleague who outlasted the toxic workplace. The daughter who made it out of the family pattern. People look at her and either recognize the kinship of someone who's been there, or feel uncomfortable around a knowing they can't yet handle.
