Privacy Notice

We built SoBeiIt to be light on its feet. The reading happens in your browser, the data we keep is what we need to compute your archetype, and we don’t sell anything about you to anyone. This page explains exactly what we collect, where it goes, and what you can ask us to do with it.

What you give us

To find your moon nakshatra we need three things: your birth date, your birth time, and the city you were born in. If you create an account or subscribe, we also process your account email, subscription plan, billing status, and the minimum Stripe billing references needed to keep access in sync.

What happens to it

• Your birth city is sent once to OpenStreetMap Nominatim to convert it into latitude and longitude. OpenStreetMap is a public, donation-funded geographic database; their privacy policy is at wiki.osmfoundation.org/wiki/Privacy_Policy.
• Your birth date, time, and coordinates are sent to our own ephemeris API to compute your moon, sun, and ascendant. They are not stored on our server — the API computes the chart and discards the inputs when the response returns.
• Your archetype, last visit, and audio preferenceare stored in your browser’s localStorage so that the experience remembers what archetype you got and doesn’t make a returning visitor feel like a stranger. Clear your browser data and it’s gone — we have no copy.
• If you submit your email, it is forwarded once to us via FormSubmit. We use the email to send you the personalized picks you asked for, and we keep it on file so we can answer you if you write back. We do not sell, rent, or share email lists.
• If you subscribe, checkout and billing are handled by Stripe. We store your plan, subscription status, and billing-period dates so paid features unlock correctly. We do not store full card numbers.
• First-party analytics are collected in our self-hosted Matomo instance on a SoBeiIt-owned analytics domain. Analytics are cookieless where possible, IP-anonymized, and limited to product events like pricing viewed, checkout started, subscription activated, and feature used. We do not send emails, birth details, Oracle prompts, uploaded images, Clerk IDs, or Stripe IDs into analytics.

What we don’t do

We don’t sell your data. We don’t share what you told us with advertisers. We don’t attempt to identify you across other sites or apps. We don’t send your Oracle prompts, birth details, or uploaded outfit images to analytics.

How we keep things safe

The site is served over HTTPS. The ephemeris API runs on Vercel’s infrastructure. Email passes through FormSubmit’s standard transport. We take reasonable measures to keep what little we hold safe, but no system is perfect — if you ever suspect something has gone wrong with your data, write to us at the address below and we’ll respond promptly.

What you can ask us to do

Email us and we will:

• Tell you what we have on file for you (it is almost certainly just an email address).
• Delete it, on request, within thirty days.
• Stop sending you anything, immediately.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under the GDPR (EU/UK) or CCPA (California). Those rights apply here too — the request mechanism is the same: just write to us.

Children

SoBeiIt is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has used the site, write to us and we’ll remove anything we have.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we handle data, we will update the “last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will also be noted in the next email we send to subscribers.
